Our company specializes in designing and developing transmission solutions for challenging industries. Our company understands that our people are the most important part of our company and so we have invested a good amount in their development. Our company is proud to have manufacturing facilities at 7 separate destinations. These facilities include an in-house foundry along with a widespread sales network. Our Infrastructure

Our infrastructure is modern and fully equipped to ensure complete in-house production of Auxiliary Gearboxes, Crane Duty Gearboxes, Servo Planetary Gear Reducers, and other products. Top Gear Transmissions is proud to have 7 ultra-modern facilities such as an Administrative Office, Assembly Building, CNC VMC Shop, Fabrication Shop, Foundry, Heavy Machine Shop, and R&D Center.

Building: We own a building in Satara that covers 13000 square meters of area. Another building at Kolhapur is spread across 3,000 square meters. Here, every production activity is carried out by using the best material-handling equipment, cranes, and many devices.

Machines: We possess over 200 machines that are used for cutting raw materials, finishing the products, and many other processes. A brief of our machines is given below:

This approach perfectly aligns with our Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) according to which all the product-related processes are checked, inspected, and verified on definitive parameters. The quality personnel work with the client servicing team to offer them the best products and other solutions that are as per their needs.
  • R&D: We have a research and development team that is dedicated to challenging itself with the latest market developments and changing demands of customers. The R&D team also indulges in value engineering so that new products can be developed for new application requirements.
  • After-Sales Service: Our service and engineering team provides timely and efficient after-sales support to clients. Be it installation or commissioning of the products, we are ready to help in a quick time. Here, a spare parts division also boosts our efforts.
  • People: When our employees are motivated, they will put in more effort to make a successful company. Hence, we provide them with periodic job training sessions.

Quality Assurance

Top Gear Transmissions has the best quality control instruments at its facility that allow complete testing of the Bevel Planetary Drives, Planetary Geared Motors, and other products. Apart from this facility, we also possess CMM, dynamic balancing, gear profile testers, hardness testers, microscopes, and tensile testers. These are helpful for re-machining and post-machining processes.

Foundry

We implemented the process of backward integration in our foundry that fulfilled the gear casing requirements. At this foundry, cast iron and SG iron castings are produced at a rate of about 100 tons per month. The casting quality is guaranteed by our in-house testing lab.

Manpower

Top Gear Transmissions has the support of 150 personnel, who are extremely dynamic, and smart. It allows them to meet the client requests in the best way. We have separate personnel for after-sales support, product design, and R&D activities.

History of Top Gear Transmissions 

2000

We started our 1st manufacturing facility in Satara for producing mini planetary gearboxes up to 2 HP

2002

We produced various gearboxes for the Nutch filter. This project was for HLE Engineers.

2003

  • We received the accreditation by TUV-Nord for ISO 9001 Certification.
  • We developed 1st centrifuge planetary gearbox for Kemtron.

2004

We completed our 1st export order of 20 Geared Motors for a paper mill in Bangladesh.

2005

  • We manufactured a gearbox range for boiling houses across Maharashtra.
  • We also inaugurated a new office in Pune for marketing purposes.

2006

  • We execute bulk dispatch for the textile & agri industry.
  • We delivered 600+ gearboxes for Textile industry drum washers and agriculture briquetting machines.

2007

  • We started a new manufacturing unit with the name TGT Pvt. Ltd. a subsidiary of TGT group. This unit was for manufacturing heavy gearboxes.
  • We also produced hoist planetary gearboxes for Compact Hoist.

2008

We completed our 1st European order from Italy for the application of thread-rolling

2009

We received an eminent order from the National Aluminium Company for Settler Tank.

2010

We fulfilled the order of Siddhanath Sugars for cost-effective foot-mounted planetary mill drives 300 Kw. It was 1st of its kind in India.

2011

  • We fulfilled the order of Krishna Athani Sugars for foot-mounted planetary mill drives 750 Kw.
  • We supplied 200 numbers of planetary geared motors to BHEL, Trichy.

2012

  • We started Top Gear Metals at Kolhapur, a dedicated foundry unit for our castings.
  • We became the 1st Indian company to manufacture Shaft Mounted Mill drives for Manjra Sugar Mill 175 Kw.

2013

We designed and engineered Crane Duty Gear Boxes.

2014

  • We created a milestone in the sugar industry by executing 16 turnover projects in 1 year for various sugar companies.
  • We exported gearboxes with 4 Mill Tandem for the entire sugar plant in the Philippines through MERU Industries.

2015

  • We made a multispeed remotely operated hydraulic tower erection winch that is used for erecting 800-meter height towers. This order was for L&T.
  • We inaugurated Top Gear Corporate Headquarters and R & D Building.
  • We also created a new assembly line at additional MIDC Satara.

2016

  • We completed the orders for a 2-speed auxiliary gearbox for cranes.
  • We supplied 1000+ gearboxes for mobile cranes.

2017

  • We completed the order for a hydraulic winch for cranes.
  • This year, we supplied over 1500 products which was the maximum for us in any year.

2018

  • We developed crane hoists, and planetary concrete mixers were introduced to the concrete mixing industry.
  • A range of cycloid gearboxes were developed and delivered to MBE Coals and Minerals for centrifuge applications

2019

  • We provided gearboxes for defense winch through Bharat Earth Movers Limited.
  • We started a new venture at Coimbatore to meet the requirements of agro products and machinery.

2020

  • We supplied various gearboxes for bucket wheel reclaimer at Nevely Lignite (NLC).
  • We completed an export order to Korea for 30-ton winches.
